After ten years casting on the production floors of Barcelona, I was tired of agencies that sold numbers instead of people. I opened Fashion Model BCN in 2007 with a small selection of faces I had worked with personally, and a promise I still keep: every name on this roster has been seen, vetted, and chosen by a casting director — not by a database upload.

Carla Vidal spent the late nineties and early two-thousands on the production floors of Barcelona, casting editorial and commercial campaigns from the inside. She watched the city's agency landscape drift toward scale — more faces, faster bookings, less attention paid to the individual behind the look.
In 2007 she left casting direction to open her own house on Carrer de València. The brief was simple: curation over volume, a 3-stage selection process, and a roster only a casting director would sign off on. Today, only 8% of applicants are accepted — and the agency still books inside the same Eixample building it moved into that first year.

Our headquarters occupies a 320 m² studio space in the heart of Eixample, two blocks from Passeig de Gràcia. Two full in-house lighting setups allow test shoots, comp cards, and last-minute castings to happen on-site — a workflow our clients describe as the fastest they have worked with in Spain.
The permanent team is eleven full-time staff: casting directors, account leads, and a talent manager. They are supported by a roster of 38 freelance stylists, makeup artists, and chaperones — the production infrastructure behind every booking we confirm.
